Amy J Cheng is a well-regarded, and highly lauded actress, host and drama educator with a wealth of experience and extensive variety of projects under her belt. Her consistent and growing career over the years culminated in the role of Jacqueline Ling in the Warner Bros. Hollywood movie, Crazy Rich Asians, acting alongside industry names, Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu, and Henry Golding.
During the course of Amy’s illustrious career, she has played numerous leading roles in television and film projects alike, some of which winning her highly sought-after awards and nominations including a Best Actress nomination at the 2001 Asian Television Awards for her luminous performance in local classic, Growing Up. Effectively bilingual, Amy has also ventured into Chinese dramas to much acclaim and success, acting alongside renowned local actors, Zheng GePing, Rui En and more.
With her affable personality, Amy crosses over comfortably with TV hosting and has presented for numerous lifestyle, variety, and infotainment programmes. Equally adept with event hosting, Amy is especially popular with commercial clients for product launches, galas and private dinners.
When not working on screen and stage, this multi-hyphenate actress is a wife, mother of 2, and renowned drama educator. As the Creative Director of ACT 3 Theatrics, Amy creates and develops drama programmes for pre-schoolers, polytechnic students, special needs individuals amongst many others.
